After four years the nursery school has closed. It has been an honor to work with the children of Ajo! Please look out for Rootworks at pop up events.

Playing with light and shadow using an overhead projector.
Kneading dough.
Ample opportunity is provided to engage all of the senses.
Opportunities for sensory exploration include:
Dirt, mud, sand, and water play
Regular engagement with clay and fresh dough
Exposure to natural soundscapes
Playscapes that allow for gross motor development
Natural elements brought into the classroom that are interesting to see and touch
Opportunity to engage with light and shadow
Mindfulness exercises
The cultivation of and appreciation for beauty in its many forms
